Description
This ignition distributor has a vacuum connection, which does not have to be used necessarily.
We recommend not to use ignition cables with a copper core. The electronics in the ignition distributor may be interfered with the electromagnetic fields induced by these cables.
This 123 TUNE distributor is built specially for the Ferrari Dino 206 GT and the Ferrari Dino 246 GT/GTS. As with other 123 TUNE distributors you can adjust the advance curve individually to complement the engine and your driving habits. As a special service, we can initialise the distributor with the original ignition advance curve (if we have the data) or any other curve to your like. If you wish us to do that please leave a note, what you will be able to do at the end of the check-out process.
We integrate the electronics of the 123 TUNE into the original housing of the distributor. We will have to drill a hole into the sidewall of the housing so that you will have access to the USB plug. Of course we will deliver a screw with the distributor which you will be able to close the hole with. We will neither deliver a new distributor cap nor a new rotor, but will return cap and rotor you have sent to us. The original distributor cap and rotor will fit the converted distributor.
Please send always the complete distributor incl. cap and rotor.
The terms of sale and the price is predicated upon our receiving a specific, correct, complete and clean core unit. Should any component(s) show severe damage (except points, base plate and advance mechanism) or dirt on the received unit, we have to invoice an extra charge, which will be communicated prior to installation/cleaning.
- Ignition cables with copper core are not suitable for use with this ignition distributor. Likewise older ignition cables should be replaced. For suitable ignition lead sets, see below.
- Older ignition coils and ignition coils with a resistance below 1 ohm in the primary circuit (between terminals 1 and 15) lead to malfunction/total failure. The appropriate ignition coil with the parameters required for your vehicle, see below.
